These Terms of Service govern your use of Bayt Al-Hikma (the "Service"), operated by Mahdi Halawi ("we," "us," "the Owner"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it.
Bayt Al-Hikma generates personalized learning paths — sequenced selections of real, existing books, videos, articles, and courses — based on a goal you describe, using an AI-powered sequencing process. Free accounts can access a limited portion of each generated path; Premium subscribers can access the full path.
AI-generated recommendations: paths are generated using AI, grounded against real, verifiable sources found through live search — the Service is designed not to invent or hallucinate fake books, videos, or sources. However, we do not guarantee that every recommendation will be perfectly suited to your specific needs, and recommendations should be treated as a starting point, not professional or expert advice in the underlying subject matter.
To use most features of the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
The Bayt Al-Hikma name, branding, design, and underlying software are the property of the Owner. The books, videos, articles, and courses referenced in your learning paths are the property of their original creators and publishers — Bayt Al-Hikma does not claim ownership over this third-party content, and links to it are provided for reference only. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party sources referenced in your paths.
Bayt Al-Hikma Premium is an open-ended, recurring monthly subscription — it renews automatically each month until cancelled, with no fixed end date. Pricing may vary by country. Payment is processed by our payment provider, Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record; Paddle handles billing, applicable taxes, and payment method security.
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your access to Premium features continues until the end of your current paid billing period, at which point it ends — no additional notice period applies beyond this.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive or fraudulent use of the Service, or if required to comply with a legal obligation. We may also terminate or suspend the Service, in whole or part, if a required third-party service we depend on (such as our hosting, database, authentication, or payment provider) becomes unavailable, or for other reasons beyond our reasonable control that make continued operation impossible.
We reserve the right to terminate the account of, or deny service to, any person or entity designated by a relevant sanctioning authority (such as OFAC or applicable EU sanctions lists).
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service's systems or other users' accounts; use automated means to scrape or excessively query the Service in a way that could disrupt it for others; or misrepresent your identity when creating an account.
Bayt Al-Hikma is a web-based service. To use it, you need a device with a commonly used, up-to-date web browser and an internet connection. We may release updates to the Service from time to time; continued use of the Service may require you to be using a current version of your browser to maintain full functionality.
Where required by applicable law, including for consumers in the European Union and Brazil, we provide digital services that conform to the requirements described in these terms and in the Service's own description, and we will remedy any lack of conformity in accordance with applicable law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated recommendations will be complete or suited to your specific purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Owner harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
If you have a complaint or dispute, please email us first at mahdihalawi430@gmail.com and we'll do our best to resolve it directly — we aim to respond within 7 days. We encourage resolving disputes amicably before pursuing formal action.
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own country of residence provide you with additional rights that cannot be waived. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms is not a waiver of that right.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you, such as a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
